Having owned a 2008 Daytona for 2 years a while back, I have returned to the fold with my latest purchase, currently sitting on 25 miles from new after a quick ride today.

Arrow does indeed sound delicious. Have you removed the baffle on yours? A quick look shows its tack welded, will get my mini dremel on that bugger! Tail tidy comes first, tank pad and screen. That'll do for now.
What's the deal with the EXUP valve...

I have kept the baffle in. I did a bit of research, and there's a huge disparity in the loudness of the arrow can, very variable. While some are quiet-ish, mine is loud. Very loud.

I do the odd track day and I already struggle the noise testing, so wouldn't risk making it louder. Last test I did got over 104db...

All good mods you've got planned. Any ideas on what you'd go for? Evotech tail tidy is brilliant, pricey but worth it...

What do you mean about the EXUP? A far as I'm aware the arrow with the map triumph should have given you keeps the EXUP working, although I'm ready to be corrected on that. I think some people force it open, but that gets you the FI light on the dash, which you can override with a servo buddy (Google is your friend for that)

I've left mine as I got it, with EXUP still working..

Lovely bike I have two I like them that much ha ha

104 db bloody hell, I have done a few trackdays and with or without the baffle it's 98db as in neutral the exup stays shut until 8000rpm the only way it would read 104 is it you have it in 1st gear with the clutch in then it opens at 4000rpm.

I have stuck with the arrows because it sounds lush and I can't be arsed to mess with the exup and any warranty issues.

    That's in neutral..

  7. I've said this quite a few times now but the quotes regarding what the valve does and doesn't do are not accurate, I had 2 fuel maps on my 2013 Daytona R, first one just opened it in gear and it stayed fully open, later one was open in idle and then shuts and opens again. Was chatting to someone else on here who had exactly the same.

It's really crap, wish it just stayed shut in nuetral

I would say you don't have the correct map then ?

Dunno, valve works. Runs very well, no flat spots or grumbling. Sounds good. With the exception of squeaky bum time at noise testing I certainly have no complaints.

I haven't giving it a proper look so haven't noticed what rpm it opens/shuts. I think it sounds fairly tame with the baffle in, I'm probably going to whip it out tomorrow.
I was told the dealer was remapping the bike to accomodate the Arrow pipe, lets hope they did!

I had my baffles removed by the dealer when fitted as new . They fitted the tail tidy, Sliders etc too.I've just bought a puig screen still to fit.

Got my mini dremel on the spot weld holding the retainer screw on, whipped the pipe off and tapped the baffle out from the otherside as it was in their quite tight. It sounds a little more fruity now, that's for sure.

I actually would have preferred something wider at the top. My leathers rub the tank. Thought about dieting.....very, very, briefly ;-)

Thanks, I saw it in the brochure and liked it so I arranged to see the white one and this one side by side and this one drew me to it immediately.
The Matte paint is harder to maintain, but i'll be doing <1000 miles a year and am absolutely crazy about cleaning so it's no dramas for me!

I'd be interested in a before and after on the Puig.
