I have a low milage 2007 model I got in original condition. I've been reading about the rear suspension linkage breaking on them and I had a couple of questions people here might be able to help with... Firstly, what part breaks exactly - is it the dogbone linkage, or the triangular plates? Or something else..? I looked up the parts diagram and I saw there were two part numbers for the triangular plates, one of them superceded. Does this mean that if I just go and order OEM replacements I'll get the newer steel ones and will this solve the problem? Also, I've seen a lot of 'linear links' advertised and talked about, is this a worthwhile option? That is, will it stop the broken link problem (that's most important), does it really make that much difference, and is it still worth it if I don't change the stock spring..? If it helps, I know there are a lot of upgrade options, but as far as possible I'd like to keep it stock. Mostly I just want to know it won't fail on me. Also, I'm about 85kg, I mostly ride on country roads - enthusiasticly but not like on a track - and I'm pretty clueless about suspension settings - I've kept it on the factory "firm" setting with five lines of front preload after I fiddled with the settings enough to know I can make it worse ;-)
