Evening all, I read that the R6 monoblock brakes are better than the 675 standard ones so I set about finding some info. I found the below link which might be some use to some one. Its a USA thread but principle is the same. http://www.triumph675.net/forum/showthread.php?t=52440 In terms of cost i bought the following: R6 calipers - £80 from evil bay incl braided lines SS Caliper bolts - £15 from evil bay Ali shims - BZP M12 Pack of 100 from screwfix (im hoping these work havent bought them yet) Brembo m/c - i already have one but cost £175 second hand when i bought it cheers J
The is something ive looked into too. Have you tested them yet? I'd love to know how much better they feel than the standard ones. Thanks for posting.
Be interesting to hear how you get on with them womblerulz fitted the later daytona monoblocks to his old bike and didnt really notice a difference
:? Interesting..... It's hardly scientific, but I'm pretty sure I've out-braked R6's (yes, I know  , Cue jokes about "we know you're only good at slowing StM.." ) Iirc the master cylinder has usually proved to be the culprit, when people complain about spongy brakes. They rolled out of the factory without this issue, and haven't the motoring press have always praised the 675's stopping power.? Still, have to applaud your ingenuity , & please keep us all posted on your progress.
Mine were really good, the standard pad compound was really good. My friends always said they were a bit overpowering if anything!
