I saw one going cheap so i thought i'd give it a whirl....

They list at around £50-55, be carefull there are 2, 1 for road, 1 for race. I paid £25 delivered...Then i bought the Pipercross cleaning kit for £8.70. So not a fortune for a lifetime guarenteed filter.

30% more Airflow, nice and clean, cant be bad.......mmm

It's a bit of a mission to get too, but hey ho........Here are some images, sorry there a little bit out of focus, garage and iphone:

    Messy cables under the tank:

    Dirt inside the Airbox:

Filthy clogged up filter, OE on the left, just 2500 miles!:

Mmm new, OE on the left......

I'll post up on Monday if there is any noticable difference, i felt i was missing some induction growl and thought it's worth a punt...She's nice and clean now, just need to mod the Air induction area and thats all done...

Yep, so far, thanks for the tips today, will give her a run when its not so dark, windy and wet looking outside.

I let her run for 3-4 mins, all was fine.

Guess the ECU will need to sort it's magic....I'm running extra air and a Twin Arrow map with my OE cans  at the moment!!

Nice one!....the freer flowing filter should allow your exhausts to work to their maximum potential - I definitely noticed a small advantage when I installed a K&N filter in my 650.

Also, I would strongly recommend cleaning & re-oiling any aftermarket filter on any bike whatsoever whenever you have the tank off for other maintenance or every few thousand miles...I didn't check mine until about 6K miles and I was amazed at the amount of dirt & debris in there....and I'm strictly a fair weather rider, so no telling what gets in there in the UK's climate.

Cheers Darren, I gave it a good clean, and doused it in the Filter Oil, retention spray stuff. Will try it in a few days.

  9. Good filters. You can use the race one, the only thing required is getting it mapped, so if doing at the same time as fitting a new can it's no drama.

    StMarks, no sorry.

The guy was selling his ST and removed all his mods. Filter has only done 500 miles, i didn't know that, so I bought the cleaning kit.

It's a real mission to get to it. Still, passes a few hours!

Triple Jimmy is selling a brand new MWR filter, RRP is about £105, and he wants £75 posted.

Not quite the same but if anyone wants it!!

Or PM me and lll get it sorted for you.

  12. Let me know how much extra noise it adds mate I could be tempted to whack one on mine..
