Is this the card or the camera?

  6. Have to send both off! Think I've just got a dodgy one. Said they'll send me an extra set of mounts and pay postage so that's alright

That's good they are really decent guys.

  8. Great shots, sounds like it's really impressing.

  9. It looks a good camera, but the only issue with me, I don't edit in software I just upload the raw footage, people like the exhaust note more from the go pro 3black I had.

So the sound level would be a massive issue :/

  10. Got my replacement olfi today, can't really ask for much more from their customer service. Very happy with how they've handled my few issues. They updated it to the new firmware and tested it before sending so I'm confident I'll have zero issues with this. At Cadwell the next two days so hopefully it stays sunny and I can get some footage of me snailing around.

Thats good news! One thing to add change the frequency setting to 60Hz. I noticed the usual flickers on my dash with it set to 50Hz.

Any thoughts on this compared to the Git2?

  14. One thing I don't like compared to a the go pro I used (borrowed from a friend) is that the wide angle isn't as wide. When I used the go pro and it mounted on the chin of my helmet it would get all the dash/handlebars in etc. Where the olfie gets the screen upwards! And it's same/similar orientation I dont have it pointed upwards!

All these cameras with 'gyro' stabilisation do it by cutting a bit out of the middle of the frame - moving where it cuts that bit out from depending on how it's moving - so if the camera bobs down a bit, it takes a cut from higher up.

This however does mean you lose some of the 'wide angle' - you may find that if you turn the stabilisation off you get a wider angle.

Downloaded the app this evening but it's not ready. Throws me out of the app every time I try to go in.

Latest vid is up. Shot at 2.5K with Gyro on. I made a clanger and left the metering mode in spot which is a bad idea for sunny days with clouds. Should have switched it to center or average. Other than that it turned out well.

One thing I have on my to-do-list is to create a LUT (Colour look up table) you can apply to Olfi footage and make it look better. Does everyone know how to create a blur mask, track it so that you can stop people reading the time on your speedo?
