How do people rate Nitron shocks? I've just had a 3 way adjustable unit fitted to my 08 Daytona! Should be £760, I got it for £350! I hope this is a good deal?!!

Wow is that for a new one. I paid that or my used one. I like them. Womble put a base setting on mine after I fitted it and haven't touch it since, great tyre wear . Mines only used on track so can't say what it's like for road use

It's a used one. Just been serviced by Mark at Go Racing Developments. New seals and new oil. It came off a TTC bike. I was in his workshop the other day and he just had it lying around so I said put it on! Unbelievable the difference it makes! He's got the updated internals for the front shocks so I'm getting them fitted too!! Along with a power commander 5 and de-catted exhaust! All when I come back from 4 months in the Falklands!! It's gonna be awesome!!

  4. I'm going to go for a nitron when funds allow.

Out if interest why are you going for a PC5?

Well originally I was gonna get a re-map by T3 but Mark at Go Racing Developments advised me to go for a PC5 as he reckons you get better results. So I'm gonna get mine through him as he'll fit it and set it up on the dyno for me. Can't wait!!

  6. Be interested to see what advantages the PC5 has over mapping the standard ecu.

As soon as I get it done I'll post it on here. It won't be until about August as I'm away for 4 months with work. When it's done it'll have: PC5, de-catted exhaust, iridium plugs, k&n and hopefully the up rated trumpets if I can find where to get them!

  8. Sounds good mate.

    Re: Nitron Rear Shock.

If the results with a PC are better then I'd be asking myself are they 200 quid better which is roughly the difference it might cost over a map for the stock ecu. I think you might find T3 will say one thing and a PC stockest will say another just because its what they do.

UK race support have got the trumpets mate 130 for the set.

    I can get a new PC5 for £270 so I don't know how that compares to a re-map?

More expensive by the sound of it, remap should be £200 or thereabouts as TJ said in his post.

Yeah a straight remap of stock ecu should be around 200, don't forget you still have to map the power commander on top of buying it in first place. Its just my opinion but, I dont think its going to be worth your money. We would see more people running them otherwise.

    Sorry for thread jack OP

And fit the pc5 if your not mechanically mindedcan you run quickshift through pc5 on early bikes could save money then im buying a harness for that

  14. Re: Nitron Rear Shock.

i paid about £200 for a pc 5 and then £80 for a custom map

but i live miles away from anyone who would do the ecu tho

  15. Re: Nitron Rear Shock.

I think the advantage of the PC or Bazzaz is the speed at which it can be mapped.

The standard ECU is slow to remap due to the software, thats certainly the case with TuneEcu.
