Hello everyone !!! Name: Kyle Age: 25 Location: Kent About me: Doing my DAS course starting this Sunday ! Aaaahhhh :? definitely want to get a Daytona 675 but not sure whether or not to get it as a first bike or second bike due to lack of experience? I actually work with Craig unfortunately and he is the one who has pushed me to get my bike license. Met a couple of you guys at Triumph live where I was the camera man for the expert evening in the rain ! Seems like a good website and good community so had to join! Blah blah blah blah blah....... Don't know what else to say. If any questions just ask
Another Kentonian!!! All we need! Welcome along buddy. Enjoy a laugh with us! Here's a good thread you've probably already read concerning the above... <a class="postlink" href="https://www.675.cc/675/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7738">https://www.675.cc/675/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7738</a>
Just do it!! Aslong as you take your time on it and ride how you feel comfortable, not trying to copy anyone else you'll be fine See this thread as it is on a similar topic: <a class="postlink" href="https://www.675.cc/675/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7738">https://www.675.cc/675/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7738</a>
Oh Kyle!!! I met you in the tower at The Hill! Welcome along dude... I know we spoke about it and you want a supersports but the STR is an awesome ride if you can manage to get a test drive! Most dealers won't give you a test ride if you have less then a years riding experience. need to find a good friend to get the ride and hand it over round the corner from the dealer
Thanks for the thread guys, has been very useful ! I want to wait for the 13plate to come out anyways as I'm going to be getting a personalised number plate I suppose depends on money at the time as well.
Welcome in.. No reason why you shouldn't get a 675 as a first bike if you can afford the insurance etc. Question; why not look at one of the restrictor kits that Triumph do? one is a 33HP, not sure about the other one, sounds extreme but would give you all the time in the world to get used to the handling and some of the power, might also lower insurance; and is probably really cheep to later take off (rather than then change bikes).
Welcome Kyle, I met you at T- Live too, I remember you wanting the personalised plate! I'm lad Craig has talked you into both joining the forum and to getting a D675 I got mine for my first bike and haven't looked back since, as long as you take it easy for a bit you'll be fine
Hi Kyle, hope enjoy bikes and the forum! Good luck with the Das - from a mates experience it's all about where your heads at and miles done on two wheels! By all means go for the Daytona, but try sitting on them both before and after your training and see how you feel then. Enjoy!, DG.
