She's done 40,000 now but still pretty clean - that pic is a couple of years old but she is still very tidy- doesn't look her soon to be 10yrs! might not be as quick as some of the jap litres but loads of character and that triple grunt is just divine!

    Thank You.

Coincidentally enough, I was checking out an '04 955i at my local Triumph dealer just yesterday....still a great-looking bike after all these years....not that I have any money to buy another bike right now, and TBH I'm perfectly content with the bike I have, but I thought $5000 was taking the p*ss a little bit....not really sure what they go for though....I guess it was about right for a dealer.

Yeah Prob about right for a Stealer!! I considered part ex when I got the 675 but only offered me £1400 due to age and mileage- paint job wasn't even considered.... I declined and hence she is still part of the family! Only reason I got new bike was I do Euro trip every year and due to age they sting you for recovery, if they repatriate at all- and she's not going to get buried overseas!!No way

  16. Hi dude, welcome. The o2 sensor is in the headers so I don't think you'll have a problem with a US spec slip on (plus they're a legal requirement in many US states too). You might have a problem at MOT time though if its not e marked, so might be worth keeping your stock can just in case.

Pretty sure it's the other way round??....As far as I know, it's the US bikes that don't have an O2 sensor, and the Euro bikes that do??....I've read a few things on the web (which is never wrong!!) that suggest this....except for California....which is why I can't buy a better, cheaper, & less restricted bike from out-of-state and register it here....frickin' CARB...I hate those morons!! An O2 eliminator is what you need for a US exhaust...at least, that's the word on the street.

Belay my last.....now I'm reading up on it I don't know either way??

  19. You might be right Darren, I'm no expert on NA road vehicle legislation, but i would expect that all vehicles sold there have to conform to federal approval, and that federal approval would cover emmision controls. I was primarily thinking of california, as I know they have very stringent laws, but I would expect those laws to apply federally. Anyho, that doesn't change the fact that the o2 sensor is located in the headers so a slip on wouldn't interfere with its operation. The O2 sensor is the primary sensor in the closed loop fuel injection system operation and without it, the ECU isn't able to make 'on the fly' adjustments or any form of self calibration. I wouldn't remove it unless I had good reason to (like fitting a power commander).

Yeah....I'm trying to remember ....I know when I bought my PCIII it didn't come with the eliminator...when I asked the guy in OZ I bought it from about it he said he'd forgotten it and sold it on the bike...but I was advised by others to just leave the sensor in place as it only effected emissions up to @ 6K rpm.

    I think??
