You guys refer to scrubs, I'm assuming that's just a word for tyres? And scrubbing them in, is that just wearing them in?

Ow and a few more, quickshifters how do they work? Just looks like a piston so does it just assist the lever? I know some people down shift without the clutch, I'm guessing this is because you can keep the revs up, surely this ruins your clutch, is that what a slipper clutch is for?
Also in all honesty how often do you guys use your front brake? And in what conditions? Also what do you rev your daytonas too, normal riding and fast riding? It's my first bike and I don't know if I'm ragging it or going easy? Do you often get the little blue lights up
    Cheers

If this is your first bike. Take it E.A.SY.! All of the questions you have asked are performance oriented. And as such, give yourself sometime to learn the ropes and get some hours up.
You will know when the time is right to start to wring your bikes neck. The more you learn the quicker you'll go. It's only natural. Plus you'll need to save some casheesh for all the parts you are going to buy later on. You are gonna love this bike.

Forgot.. The quick shifter is activated by the lever and allows clutchless up shifting.
In regards to the front/rear braking bias. It depends on the situation/conditions. Around town I use the rear brake a bit to balance the bike. In the hills and twisties not so much.

The lights are adjustable so depends where you have them set to come on.

Why is this in the confession box?

    All normal questions.

This area is for those leaving the closet etc, or GSXR riders

Scrubs are part worn race tyres - not for road use.
Scrubbing in a tyre is more "running in" the tyre, you are removing any release agent from the manufacturing process from the working surface of the tyre etc.
A quickshifter works by momentarily cutting the ignition - the piston you refer to is actually a load sensor that gives a signal when the gear lever is moved, that signal triggers a programmed length of ignition cut in milliseconds to take the load off the gearbox whilst the next gear clicks in, the throttle stays wide open all the time.
