Hey guys. Thanks again for all the replies. Definitely going to leave that particular bike. There a few others things that have put me off.

Anywhere else I can look for 2012 daytona. I'm on The bay, mcn and autotrader. Hardly any private sales. Oh and £5500 to spend!.

I hope everyone had a good day yesterday and aren't to hung over!.

  2. My 2010 (it's the same model) was up at a main dealer for £5700, it was a caspian blue, 5k miles FSH and had lots of genuine accessories like Arrow exhaust and Triumph levers etc.

Honestly for that budget u will be able to have your pick, but why a 2012? They made the footrest hangers frame coloured (which look much better) but that's about it.

Here is a pic of mine.

  3. I should also say that I believe it sold for £5400 from a main dealer and was technically a 2011 model year. I would be looking at a late 2010 model with the newer style dash (much better layout) and other than that just the cleanest example u can find.

  16. I have a 280 that was registered to triumph and I'm guessing its a demo one. I have no idea how those 280 have been riden. The only scrubbing seem I the middle of the tyre side walls still smooth. Maybe they bombed it down in a straight line lol. It was serviced at Hinckley in October which I assume was the first service. I'm going to take it easy for another 200 miles. Would it be advisable to get it serviced agai at 500 miles

  17. Good choice, nice looking bike.

What's the big white sticker on the side?

A sticker stating best sports bike again :) :) :)
    It will be coming off!

  19. I have never bothered running in new bikes, I take it easy and make sure I go through the box and never let the engine struggle for the first 200-250miles but that's about it. There is a lot of research on the pros and cons of running bit a lot of it is based on older engines.

You do seem to get more power from bikes that have been ridden hard from the off but is it worth it as it is also linked to fast wear? All personal opinion I guess!

I personally think the running in period is more for the rider to get used to a new bike and get rid of that horrible release agent new tyres seem to have.

Anyway, bike looks awesome, very jealous, hopefully see you on track later in the year?
