Evening all! Thought I’d introduce myself as I’m sure I will be spending quite a bit of time on here. I’ve finally done my test and bought a dream bike of mine (2016 675R) and although it’s the wrong time of year now, I’m very excited for the next summer ahead! Picked her up couple of weeks ago and booked her straight in for full service and health check at Triumph including new Brake Fluid and Coolant and i now have her back! Managed to get out a couple of times and the sound of the triple is so addictive, so I’m hoping we get a few more dry days this year! I have a few plans for it as follows and will be grateful if anyone can assist with any of the below! 6x4 number plate - oops Genuine Frame Sliders Genuine Triumph Rear Sets Potential change of exhaust to an SC Project - more noise means safer right? Slim front indicators Suspension to be set up for my height and weight Silver parts to be replaced with carbon fibre to match the carbon goodies that come on the R Replace Shorty ASV Levers with Longer ones
That's just as pretty as I remember it "Showplates" are easy enough to find on Etsy or Ebay (where my 7x5 one came from). And if you can get over to Twickenham, then I can 100% recommend BN Race Science for the suspension setup.
Thanks! I will definitely be utilizing eBay or a show plate site for the plate! Thanks for the recommendation of BN Race Science, I will check them out!
Great looking bike mate.A wise choice to spend your hard earned cash on such a machine,a lot of smiles for the price. Joining this forum was another good move, friendly folks and good advice. Enjoy.
Welcome to our friendly little forum AJH261, lovely looking example you've found yourself there. Fwiw whilst I'm no fan of "wind-break" sized plates either, but imho 7x5 is still quite tidy & less likely to attract unwanted attention .
It has a 7x5 on it at the moment but i was just thinking of ordering to see how it looks! - can't find many pictures online
We have a thread on here form ages back, about that very subject. I can't seem to find it I'm afraid. Thing is... If you do get pulled over due to your number plate being noticeably small, the mindset of the officer concerned will very likely actively seek out other violations to accompany that. But hey, it would be a sad world if we all thought the same wouldn't it..
Welcome along. Nice looking bike you've got there with quite a few subtle and tasteful mods. This forum is full of a wealth of knowledge and very few questions ever go unanswered. There's always someone that knows or has done something before. Sent from my SM-G991B using 675.cc mobile app
