I would say ride her normally just dont redline in every gear. im hotting about 800rpm on occasions n ihave done about 100 miles just avoid 1 constant speed like motorways

OK OK I was a bit drunk at the time

The critical things are not to labour the engine and never to run it at a constant throttle speed. The manual threatens disaster if you don't do it as per the book BUT you need to seal the rings and the only way to do it is heat. You can afford to be more aggressive than the manual suggests, just don't go stupid on it. You should apply constantly varying loads - so lots of acceleration and deceleration, don't be afraid to open her up, but as others have said don't red line.

See above generally

Oh, hell yes!! - the Moors have some cracking little roads...around the Northallerton area, too..some nice B-roads...beautiful part of the UK....oh, watch out for the poliss around Northallerton - the Police College is close by in Newby Wiske (perhaps my favorite place in the world!).....if pulled, lose the Geordie accent (as I have done) and speak to the Constable with a broad Californian accent, proffer him a California Driving License & extoll massively in regard to his Subaru Impreza WRX Police car & it's nifty paint job!! - If you're lucky, he will even lead you (slowly) back to the A1, from where you have become hopelessly lost!!! HEHE.

What part of the Toon are you from, Geo?????

  19. From Benton me mutha now lives in whitley bay, still get back back up to the toon regular got me season ticket at newcastle still die hard im afraid!
