They're a US thing, Ed....not too sure if it's a Federally mandated thing or something done at a State-by-State level...I think it's Federal....but all new bikes have to leave the dealers premises with the required reflectors in place....it's a reflection (no pun intended) on our litigious society....the same law applies to bicycles, BTW.

PS.....mine came off the first night I had the bike!

    ....No, they have to leave the shop like that....as far as I know it's perfectly legal to take them off afterward (which makes it a pretty fucking stupid law!)...you're only required to keep the little licence-plate reflector on. God, I remember buying one of my MTBs and I actually had to sign a waiver to certify that when I left the store the reflectors were in place!!

Thanks for the compliment! I am trying to do this one right and not make it too gaudy.

There are actually more around then I thought but they are still quite few (which I like). I am just outside of DC like a few minutes. I absolutely love my 675 as well.

I hope you are enjoying the British Forces. I have said already on here, I met a bunch of you guys in Iraq and I have to say you are the craziest bunch of guys I have met. Very fun and entertaining though! Especially teaching us Americans how to drink tea...talk about stereotypical :)

Alright everyone, I am excited to be done with a 2 day fever and the next 2 days having a stomach virus becuase I have some mods piling up! I have some new-to-me Rizoma Lux grips sitting in my room ready to go on and a DID 525 Gold chain on the way. I also was looking into a mod I thought would be sweet and while searching how to remove the piece I found out that it is a pretty popular mod now. I am going to paint my gauge cluster ring gold (to match the SE theme). It looks sick and adds that royalty feeling to it. I cant wait and I will add pictures when i get them installed, stay tuned!

Edit: ....and like Tommo above, I have been wanting to get some gold windscreen bolts so might have to order those soon.
