Oh yeah I got that part, just wondered if he used a wheel cleaner along with the used softener sheet.
I use Muc off wipes, they are slughtly damp and come in a tube or small packet, they have a slightly rough side, just like the tumble dry towels, these smell lovely, lemony, just add a bit off extra water, and bingo, all my brake dust and chain lube comes off, i use them on the car too, gets shot of brake dust on the alloys.

Without....once the grime is all off, then I'll use a cleaner....got the tip from irideacrapgixxer.com or some other site like that.
