Hello everyone!! These days when I have a lot of free time I feel like creating a post about my 2012 Daytona 675R and updating with photos the things I'm doing to it. I don't know if it's the right place. Here in the first post I want to put everything you currently have. It is a 2012 Daytona 675R. - Brembo PR 19x18 pump. - SBS dual carbon brake pads. - Complete Delkevic exhaust line with SC Project muffler. - Reprogramming of the control unit, giving 125hp to the wheel. - Öhlins steering damper. - Aluminum racing spider (frame support) - ITR handlebars. - ITR lever protector. - UKRS oil cooler. - Brake pad cooler. - Quick fist. - Rearset footpegs. - GB Racing engine protectors. - Puig fork and swingarm axle protectors. - Carbon chassis protectors. - R&G carbon tank side protectors - Zas Racing neoprene tank grip - Circuit fairings. - K&N filter. - R&G chain guard. - lithium battery skyrich Liquids used in maintenance. Motul RBF 660 brake fluid. Ravenol Racing Motobike 10W40 engine oil. Bradol Zero Racing Coolant + Motul MoCool.
Now I want to start from the beginning The day I bought it, 3 years ago Now I see these photos and how it has changed!! It had been stopped for a while and needed good maintenance.
That day in Almería I had a mishap without consequences, luckily! I was able to continue rolling without a problem after removing gravel from everywhere hahaha It was a mistake due to overconfidence and the front tire said enough.
Having the fall in Almería as an excuse, I decided to buy some new fairings and start the aesthetic change process. And buy a SC Project exhaust tailpipe. The holes under the air inlet are to cool the current regulator, which I have on the front.
Here after a job that I do not recommend to anyone!! Although then the satisfaction of doing things yourself is priceless. And debuting the new decoration and helmet
I put a full Delkevic line on it from the headers and taking advantage of the SC tail I had bought. We had to get a little more power out of this three-cylinder and above all, lose weight. free free images
This end of the year I have focused on the rear, subframe and rear fairing. I have never liked the one on the 2012 Daytona and I loved the one on the next model... So I modified the rear until the rear fairing of a Daytona +13 would fit. The photo is not very good, I will make some better ones. free free images
And finally, today I went to a well-known trainer in Spain with quite a reputation in the competition, to do a little magic on the control unit and take advantage of the exhaust line and the K&N filter and these were the results . The truth is that I am very happy. The bike had an Arrow ECU tune map and after the first launch it told me that it was very low on gas at low speeds and very rich at high speeds. You can see in the graph the enormous pothole it had. In the final throw it has softened. free free images And some photos that I took with the flame This is a brief summary of 3 years with this wonderful motorcycle, which makes me smile as soon as I see it parked in the garage and looking forward to taking it every day. To be continue…
I'm uploading the photo of the dyno's power curve again, I don't know why there are many photos that have not been uploaded...
Nice bike and some tasty mods, don't think i've ever seen an SC project underseat exhaust before. Great idea to go for the slimmer gen 3 tail after changing to the low exhaust though. Very jealous of the warm and sunny trackday pictures as we're in the middle of our dreary British winter Hopefully it will continue to make you smile, i still love mine 9 yrs later.
Really sexy bike, and like Wobbley says the rear tail unit is really nice. You hard work has been well worth it. Over confidence always works really well on the circuit, better than a lack of confidence. The flame spitting pics on the dyno are awesome.
Thank you very much for your answer!! When I thought about the new decor, it had to be something that was very eye-catching and different from anything I had seen before. I like to have different things!! That's why I also have a Daytona, here in Spain you practically don't see any and even less so on the circuits.
Thank you very much for your comment!! I'm also looking forward to the sun coming back here and the track days starting. The truth is that I have no intention of selling it, that's why I'm investing a lot of money in it, it has enough power, it's light and agile to have fun with and I love it aesthetically.
Thank you very much Nik!! Yes, what happens is that there are times that our ambition exceeds our talent!! As a certain Casey Stoner once said. Jajajaja It's true that this overconfidence makes us go fast, until the bike tells you that you've gone too far and I won't go there!! I am one of those who thinks that we must always go with a certain margin so as not to exceed our talent and react correctly to an unforeseen event. In the end we are not going to compete, we are going to have a good day doing what we like. I hope that one day we can meet on some circuit
Here in Holland there are also very few Daytonas and like you something a bit different from the rest is something I like. I have no intention of selling either of my Daytonas,I don’t think I would find another bike that is so much fun.I think a 1000 cc bike would be to much power for me and I also don’t really feel I need modern electronics, though I understand that other people prefer this. Like you I ride on the track for fun and I try not take to many risks, when I fall it usually my own mistake and not that I am reaching the limit of what the bike and tyres can do. I do actually compete in a racing series but it is amateur racing for fun,but everyone wants to win of course.Including me,but the 17-25 year old guys are happy to take more risks and they are better riders. But that’s ok. Maybe next year we could meet up for a track in Spain, that would fun.
