Mounting an AIM Solo GPS

Anybody had any clever methods to mount one?

Use one big piece of ally rather than 2 small strips like I did the first time round. My bracket fell off and ended up in the belly pan at brands, luckily I didn't have the solo on it

Had to offset mine slightly do it didn't foul anything

And try to make sure you cd see the oil warning light , just in case!

 

Hmm how can you do it with one piece? Looks like two in that link no?

 

Can you see the picture? It's just a filed ally bracket about the size of the aim mounting bracket

 

Yeh i can, but I though it looked like two separate bits of metal in the pic. Is it one?

Looks like two little strips, one fixed to each side of the mounting plate?

 

The second picture is different to the one in the link, I made a better one after it fell off!

Yeh a few pics would be cool if you could

 

I just use some extra strong Velcro type stuff and mount it on the fairing infill panel. It's out of the way but still perfectly visible. Prob won't work with race fairings though.

 

Would be pretty vulnerable there in a crash mate
