Anyone have ideas for me to pull out the most HP I can extract from my new toy? I've recently picked up a 2015 675R and at the moment looking to squeeze every ounce of power I can get into this thing. Replies greatly appreciated!
Full system, polished head, race cams, large air scoop, race filter, kit trumpets, kit genny, air bleed system, lightened crank, custom map on bazaar or similar. How much you want to spend? Road or track?
It's mostly on the road with maybe 12 track days a year max. Though on the road I still would like to see what I can pull out of this thing! I'm thinking maybe another $5K tops considering I've already put around $3K in esthetics, rear sets, taylormade exaust (w/ carbon) and a GPR-V4 steering stabilizer...
I guess you are in the states then? Take it to a decent tuner and see what they will offer, i'd keep the rev limit were it is though if you want it reliable. Kit head gasket, polished, race filter and trumpets with a custom map would be a good place to start I think.
Absolutely in the states, good observation (ha). I might go ahead and take it over to a local guy and do exactly that, see what he'll offer.
What's done: -Triumphs Adjustable Rearsets (w/ carbon) -GPR-V4 Steering Stablizer -Seat Cowl -Puig Eliminator Kit -Sequential LED Tail Light -Triumph Frame Sliders -Lic Frame (Carbon) -Triumph Tank Pad -CRG Shorty Levers -Taylormade Exaust (w/ carbon)[At the shop being installed] -ECU Flash [Following Taylormade install] I was considering these: -Rotors? -Sprocket & Chain? (+1 Rear)
Sprockets I'd go -1, +1. I have Brembo HPK discs which I love on my 2011. The OE discs are pretty good though. What about a Brembo master cylinder?
With the -1 won't I lose a ton of top end? I've heard of some losing nearly 15MPH on their top. I might stick it out with my rotors. That was a reason you go ahead an purchase the R over the base 675.
This has got to be the best thread to spend someone else's money!! Welcome in by the way. Lots of knowable people here who have/ will help you on this matter!!
Go plus 2 on the back then. Or... U could buy a MV F3 800 that has 140hp out the box and would be much cheaper than what your creating here. In fact u could prob get an F3 and out an onlins fork kit in with ohlins shock for less than u will have spent here
I actually almost left the dealer with the MV over the 675R but I fell in love with the way the Triumph looked and fit (I'm 6'2" 220). What's the guess on top end loss going +2 at the rear?
Is the MV making better power across the range? Never seen a dyno run vs a 675. I'd get the head flowed and matched to your throttle bodies and exhaust. Full kit valves, springs, cams, sprockets and head gasket. I'd then balance the bottom end, I'm not sure what the best mods are for the '13 bottom end, but start with kit big and mains bearings. All the Triumph kit parts go through alot of testing so are worth the money. Main thing is to find a builder you can trust and had worked on triumphs before. Only problem with getting every last HP out will be increase servicing/rebuilds. Might also be worth looking at rads and oil coolers, more HP means lots more heat!
I'll look into all this. I've got a guy I absolutely trust, I just didn't want to walk in their sounding crazy rambling off all this crap I want without putting together a gameplay and getting some insight/opinions.
Typically on the road with not all roads in the city being the best situation to be in I wrisk pot-holes and city bumps destroying them faster than I would on the track which is typically where'd you'd want something like that.
