Why is it people's innate selfishness/stupidity overcomes common sense when it comes to merging traffic? I've seen it literally hundreds of times, everyone's snarky about being stuck in traffic so they don't want to give anyone else the chance to be in front of them even though it means everyone gets home faster? Utter twats.
Because there are so many ignorant arses that go straight to the front of the queue instead of merging in further back ? I saw it yesterday on the motorway. Lane 4 has the overhead gantry flashing that lane 4 is closed, traffic queuing heavily....yet I see a white van (big surprise) decide it doesn't apply to him and he pulls out of lane 3 and runs right up to the broken down car in lane 4 that was causing the obstruction before wanting to get back in. Personally I would have speared my own genitals before letting him in. Twat
Haha see things like that are pathetic yea mate you really made progress, I hate it on dual carriageways though that merge into a single lane and I'm sorry but using the second lane yes is in a way an advantage but its not a illegal and is perfectly stated in the highway code and I'm not being a dummy when the first lane causes everyone to back all the way up to a roundabout causing no one to get anywhere and when you do get up to the merging arrows I love how everyone gets within a inch of the other persons bumper just to show I was here first...I don't give a shit I'm using the road to my advantage and you didn't, it's not a illegal and just stick to the usual one car in at a time and it flows perfectly lol.
Merge in properly and in good time, and you can come in, but you'd better find a tart that'll let you in cos you sure as hell are not climbing in, in front of me when you pulled out of lane to jump 10 or 20 cars to get to the front ... I have scraped and folded mirrors in before now with a twat trying to do that...he did NOT get in though. Ignorant? Actually this is the recommended way to merge. It's called a late merge. By merging at (well, just before) the point of lane closure you reduce the queue length and also the speed differences between the lanes.
You keep believing that and keep an eye out for the female drivers while you are it it, as they are the only ones gonna let you in at the front
Tbh it's fuckwits that change lanes too early that are the ones that screw it up, if everyone held position until the merge point and then took it in turns it would work fine, but you get these eejits that change lane half a mile early and then act as if they own that bit of road and won't play ball when it comes time for traffic to merge legitimately. Ridiculous. :roll: Btw trucks that pair up to make both lanes of merging traffic run at the same speed, aren't "bump starting" the traffic again they're just pissing more people off than usual, which is an achievement in itself. :evil:
