Hi all, me again Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t there a way to lower the bike via the shock thingys? Like, to turn the silver things in the pic? I’m sorry I’m not ‘mechanically savvie’ so the language is not languageing See pic attached to tell me if I can adjust it to be lowered or whether it’s already as low as can be haha.
Doing that will only adjust the preload on the spring. The shock itself is bolted on at 2 fixed points. So if you were to wind them clockwise it would just add more force to the spring, meaning more weight would be needed to conpress the spring and the opposite for anti clockwise. I would suggest getting your suspension setup professionally for your weight and type of riding. It did me wonders when I had it done on my daytona both for road and track use. From seeing the pics in your other thread I wouldn't worry about the seat height so much, you only need it to stop and start, so just keeping riding and never stop!
Awesome thank you for clarifying. Yes I will definitely get the suspension sorted asap! I appreciate your help. I’m learning bits and bobs as I go along so thank you. And I did okay stopping and starting today, I didn’t drop it anyway because I was fully expecting to have to post in ‘twat of the week’ instead of here haha.
In that case you must have your 675, and it's been a dry day too (well, up here in "God's own County" it has been anyway). So may I be the first to wish you a Happy New Bike day !!
I diiiiiid. It was delivered this morning, and despite the 5° weather, I went out fell in love within a second. The most euphoric bike ever! And I got to XXXmph and shit myself hahaha.
