Life with a Ducati 899

Discussion in 'Other Bikes' started by Burndownthediscos, Dec 8, 2014.

  1. Just watched Motorcycle live on Eurosport, Matt Roberts talking about 959 and the main changes from the 899, all filmed from the left hand side of the bike and completely failed to mention the big change, the god awful exhaust.:puke:
Its as if Ducati don't want people to see the ugly side, a bit like actresses who insist on only being photographed on one side.:-??
I can see them all now in the showrooms, all lined up with the RH side against the wall, no sir you don't want to wheel it out for a better look, just hand your cheque over first.

  2. Yep, it will still sell though, it's a bit like when the fireblade got updated in 08 and we all said it was the most ugly and discusting bike and what were they thinking and now it looks reasonable! Yes they have put a tash on the Mona Lisa but I'm sure it's great.

  3. I would but those poxy exhuast are in the way.

  7. It's worrying isn't it... Like when u see utter chavs riding old gsxr1100/zzr1100 etc in jeans and t shirts because u can get them for £1000 and they do 180mph, that's called being an organ donor!

Hate to say it Phil, but that's what we're all called. Pretty much everything can be used if you carry consent.

Is that what you call a soft link?

  10. Failing to see wats wrong here. It's a Ducati so that's probably the strongest link and it won't rust. Haha

  11. it got me thinking, what's the worst thing I would 'bodge' to get me home... a bit of wire between two terminals on a fuse? run with an almost flat tyre? run with no lights in the dark? haha, wouldn't do any of those things I don't think
