Have you managed to navigate the menu to stick your ENGINE setting in SPORT to HIGH?

now youre just showing off ;)

(the answers no im afraid but i will give it a go later)

  3. I need to do this also as I rode home in the wet the other night with traction control barely on, which is fine because I'm a man ;-) but I want the safety of sport mode tc with the nice engine response.

I'll have a play on Saturday and send Red a video as I know he doesn't do instruction manuals ;-)

    Left clip on

    1) hold the down button beneath the indicator for 4 seconds
    2) menu appears - hit down again you see R.M. hit the select button (middle of indicator)
    3) navigate with down button and select Sport - enter
    4) use down button to select ENGINE and change it to high
    5) MEMORY should autoselect. If not navigate to it at bottom and hold in select button until stops falshing.Done
    6) Ride like the wind

That’s probably where I was going wrong tbh, I was using the recharge special ability cheat from gta v.:duh:

    Because watsens look better?

I don't see many road bikes at all without mirrors.

Yeh I forgot about watsens shame you have to wait a decade for them to be made and delivered (unless you come across a set for sale privately of course).

I think the ones above look quite smart and certainly more visible.

  11. Tbh mate I'm not sold on these, think it's asking for trouble and to be knocked off, where are u hitting yours on things, surely they don't stick out wider than the bars? Also they spin back so if approaching traffic u can always just flip them back?

90% of my time in the week is spent between lanes or filtering down the outside of very narrow single file traffic, wobbling on the uneven/bump part you always get in the centre of the road (god I hate that). Ive already folded back some tits wing mirror (who behaved like the entire world was about to end) a couple of weeks back and the last thing I want to be doing is fiddling about folding them back and forth, especially in the dark - especially as they fold themselves back out at the slightest bump. Ive been fine before without mirrors and have been without mirrors longer than ive ridden with them, I just want to make sure people can see which direction I’m turning.

Not only that, theyre pig ugly.

  13. I never had mirrors on my speed triple as they were ugly as. And I don't have any on the 675. When they were on I could only see my elbows and it was easier to turn my head.

  17. I say on it today, I'm over the exhaust-gate scenario now however.... My feet would bang into the exhaust the whole time and that would annoy the heck out of me!

I sat on a MV Agusta F3 FINALLY after 3 years, like it a lot but it's tricky when they are on stands with the rear wheel 2 inches off the ground to get a feeling for it, felt like the 848 tbh.

I'm completely in love with the Thruxton R, that's a proper bit of kit....

What's the thruxton R like size wise compared to the 899? Is it heavy?

  20. Can't tell the weight because it's on the stands, size wise it's a bit longer from the seat to the bars, it's quite a long bike but lovely! I would need the rubber tank pads tbh to get a bit more comfortable but really liked it, the bar position even with clip ons isn't much more extreme than the current one. It is beautifully built though, stunning! They have a cutaway engine also there which shows off how cool it is
