I have a Kriega US20 and 2x US10s. One of the US10s came with the new style hook straps. Like in this picture:

I really like the idea of them but I've never been able to figure out how to attach those straps to my subframe. You don't have to take off the tail fairing do you?

Those of you with these kind of straps fitted to your Daytona: how did you do it?!

Pictures would be a big help because I must be missing something obvious.

I think they go under the pillion seat and onto the frame that way and use the buckle to fasten. Some seats have straps built into them in the underside. I can't remember if the Daytona does or not. The ends with the dots on are the ones that hang out from under the seat and the aluminium hooks go on those. They should already be a closed loop. Once you have found the right length you are supposed to cut the excess off and stop the end from fraying with a lighter.

    Take the riders seat off
    Then pillion seat
Remove rear seat plastic, don’t forget the brake light switch.

Then the four straps on the left go around the the frame of the bike and that’s it, once you’ve slipped the end under the buckle and adjusted the length.

Just make sure you go round the frame the correct way to have the plastic buckle facing outward when finished.

That’s how mines done, when I’ve 5 mins I’ll take some pictures.

The other 4 straps attach the bags to the four frame straps, which you can tuck under the pillion seat when not in use.

These are the same as the original straps supplied with all bags, they have just changed them from a pale brown to black and added a black dot to match the ruck sacks.

Ah ok that makes sense. I was trying to see how I could loop them around the subframe with the tail fairing still on. Thanks!

From memory, have the buckle facing out, then take the strap over the top of the frame and under, then into the buckle.

That’ll keep the strap facing out, and away from your pillion cowl.

Deffo take the seat surround off! 4 bolts 2 min job :)
