  2. I have a RAM mount which is really good, a little expensive but theyre decent. They do a few mounts which replace the steering yoke bolt, so your satnav stays still between the bars, however isonly for certain models for some reason. I have one which just goes on the handlebar, and you can twist and move it into almost any position. The heads are interchangeable for different products too.

yeah have heard of those RAM mounts and they are meant to be good. think the thing in the link i posted mounts the same way. def seem better than the bag things that strap to the handlebars

I have the same iPhone case it should be cheaper than they are quoting. I will dig out the various parts and best prices when I get home tonight. The case is good and strong but the earphone socket is a bit awkward if you intend to use earphones. It takes a good shove to get the jack in, and some jacks will not fit, it also crates a potential leak point as the little bung has to be out, although I haven't had any water get in on mine.

This is the same case from Buybits.com

    http://www.buybits.com/Product/9787/Wat ... -9787.aspx

That was the part I was thinking of and although its cheaper you will still need a charger lead so my mistake, the Ebay ad has all the bits you need and is cheaper. I dont use my phone as a GPS, I just use a sub £100 car one in a "buybits.com" bar mounted waterproof bag.

Just check whether the phone will be in the right position for you when riding, the mount they are showing puts it right on top of the stem, which may be a little low and the angle may reflect too much bright sky.

I use the case to protect my phone when I am on the bike, its quite common to get your phone damaged if you have an off or kill it if the rain gets into a jacket pocket.

If you have a street triple then this is the complete kit for handlebar mounting the iPhone at £38.00 delivered.

    http://www.buybits.com/Product/9797/Wat ... -9797.aspx

Hope that helps as its all a bit confusing on the "buybits" web site as they have so many bits.

thanks a lot for that dino. good point you raised about the position regards the stem mount. i've got a daytona so think i will wait til i can get back down and have a look at what's what. really wanna avoid reflections plus i don't want to have to look down too much to see what's going on.

    nice one mate

  9. I made my own one with 2 cheap ebay mounts. Installed it on the underside of the clipon.
And its adjustable. Not as good as a ram mount etc but it works

  13. Just received a PM from someone who asked if I could explain how I build it. So here we go :D
    Total costs: $10,05

It is a combination of these three items:
    Part 1:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Suction-Mou...897950?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3a6133f41e

    Part 2: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bicycle-Bik...230157?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item1c220afe8d

    Part 3: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CAR-MOUNT-W...943691?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3f0ad9294b

item 1) Unscrew the first one, in the middle section of the mount you can use it to install it to the top yoke (use a longer bolt to install it under your clipon). The part that you need is where the lower adjuster nut is located. This part will be mounted against the clipon/top yoke.

item 2) Remove the part where you put your phone in (you can slide it off). And remove the part where you mount it to your bicycle

Put it on item 1. You need some glue to ensure the bolts don't, come off.

If you can find item 2 with a bracket for your phone. you can skip item 3.
    Like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bike-Bicycl...844025?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2a1fc84139

Item 3) I have a Nokia E72. But you can search for a mount for your phone. They mechanism is always the same. Then you slide the phone mount pack on parts 1 en 2.

:) I hope you understand how I build it. Otherwise I will make some more pictures.
The mount works great, and doesn't vibrate when riding.

Sorry off subject,WillyWonka your rebound adjusters look out of synch on mine they are in the same position if I count equal no of clicks out . Some sussies dont always line up equal of course.

  15. They are on the same settings :)
My local suspension tuner adjusted it. And I checked it myself, and they are at the same clicks.

I have the buybits.com kit for the iPhone 4G on my Street Triple R. However, it's supplied with a different handlebar clamp to the one linked previously in this thread.

It fits quite well, the bars are thicker on the R version and also all 2011> Street's I think, so the clamp is a reasonably tight fit. The clamp also got in the way of the ignition key when first fitted, but rotating it forwards towards the tank solved that. The wiring is simple and easy to route, it also includes an inline fuse and an on/off switch to avoid draining the battery, and all that easily fits under the seat.

Using the setup is easy, with the screen reacting well to finger commands and occasionally even working with gloves on. The iPhone accelerometer can play havoc a little, so portrait lock needs to be on, also forcing you to use the screen in a portrait orientation. Not much of an issue for me as the free Orange Maps SatNav is best when viewed in portrait.

The case seems quite strong and sturdy and stays in place when riding. Some glare from the screen in bright sunshine, but turning the brightness up to max solves this in most cases. The phone charges fine and the on/off switch on the wiring is a good idea as it stops the battery being drained.

  18. Get a Telferizer mount, rather than mount it to the handlebars

The actual Aquapac iPhone in addition contains a LENZFLEX windows this lets you acquire pics close to moist setting with out having to worry that it'll modify the procedure of one's phone. People point out nothing at all occasion to take place for your much loved mobile phone simply because you'd be shielding that with all your life.
