...doing our VAT return :twisted: But I recently discovered I can do the flat rate scheme which means I make a small profit, it's diddly squat but at least it's something... makes it marginally less painful, cos of course you see the £ in the account and go and spend it... But just think how much I'm contributing to the British economy and it's thanks to people like me that we have a first class health service, world class education, and such fine quality roads
I know your pain brother i am also cursed with the job of collecting tax for the government looking at it in a very basic way you could say that we have to set aside 40% of everything we take.....if only i could go back to collecting a wage every week and switch off with no worries and spend more time on the two wheeled mistress ah that will be the day i retire then ,and by the time that happens i'll be the grand old age of 75,how many 75 year old builders have you seen on a building site ??????
:evil: I have stopped opening my pay slips now because, it makes me so mad. I remember working a ton of over time at my last place thinking yeah this is going to pay off. In the end i paid so much extra tax on it, it worked out about £75 more then normal....rubbish.
But jimmy your missing the point look at the good your extra money makes 1: some 16 year old girl and her boyfreind can now get a house for there newly born child, 2: one more junky can get his methadone dose 3:Some lazy gett can get a free walking stick and more incapacity benefit before he goes for a jog 4:the nearest council to you can now spray stone and tar at all the good bike roads just so you cant go fast and last but not least some effin mp can now put a turret on the chicken coupe to match the lovelly moat he already diddled, bitter i'm not bitter........
