I’m toying with idea of getting one of these, but wanted to hear views from people who own or have ridden one. What are they like to live with for road use, any issues to look out for and cost to maintain? Used prices are coming down now and they seem very good value for the kit and performance you get. I won’t do any track days but I would go for the sp purely because I’m sucker for the gold wheels and the paint scheme which look stunning IMO.

  2. Striking looking bikes, what are the service intervals costs like as that's worth knowing beforehand?

  3. I think it will be a fantastic road bike, but I’d seriously take a look at an S1000RR, I still can’t believe I’m saying it tbh but I really love it! I’ve ridden a mates a few time’s and it’s fantastic, I borrowed it to ride to work, heated grips etc and very measured and manageable. The Honda will be great, and they are obscenely good money at the mo but not sure if it lacks a bit of soul, which weirdly the BMW manages to have

I have been looking at the new s1000rr, have ridden the new one several times, they are truly a brilliant bike but the insurance costs are too high. They at double that of the Honda and kill the enthusiasm quickly.

  5. Sorry mate I actually mean the last of the previous model, as I still think it’s a phenomenal bike. The only issue with it is probably that the values are really strong
