Great news, lovely weather too. I collected mine 65 miles from home and it rained all day and all my motorway miles at 60 odd mph. March 1st this year.

Right ive done about 80 miles on the bike today and have some questions.

Firstly, at about 4500rpm in every gear and when i engine the engine off i get a really annoying squeak??.. Also my bike sounds quiet tappety from idle, I dont remember my Street triple being like this. Is this normal for a Daytona?

    Thanks

    Chris

  17. The 4500RPM squeak is the valve in the air intake openning and closing, I don't notice it but it comes up a lot on here, the Speed and Street wouldn't have had this valve, as they have different induction design.

The tappet noise is a strange one, the tensioner is hydraulic and sometimes mine is noisy but then it goes away, some people have said that it is where the hydraulic tensioner still operates in stages like a ratchet and needs to just click over to the next setting, I am not sure, would just say that if you are worried then just mention it to your dealer if that's where you got it and go from there.

I had the same issue with my ZX6R P7F although that turned out to be camshaft failure so it does make me panic a bit! get yourself an Arrow pipe, tends to drown out all other noises!!!! :D
