Hi. Recently bought my Daytona 675 after originally wanting a street triple R. Passed my test about 6 years and haven't ridden for about 5. Finally gotten married, so my love affair with expensive to run fast cars has had to stop. Bought the bike for the 20 mile commute to work. Although she'll not be getting ridden in crap weather, so will be more of an occasional toy really. Was originally on 675.net but received a couple of pm's pointing me in the direction of this forum. So thank you.
Welcome along for the ride Matt, I hope you enjoy the forum as much as we do. Interesting that even on "that other place" they know which is the best Forum.! I'm sure you'll have a ball on here mate. If you're looking to get used to your new steed, Hamster is organising a Forum Trackday at Cadwell in early April. That would be an excellent opportunity to "learn your bike" in relative safety, and with lot's of knowledgeable & helpful forum members around you to advise and assist.
Cheers. Will look into that dependant on work commitments. I'm in Stafford and bought my bike from B.S.bikes in Stoke. 2009 plate (previous model though) tornado red, with I believe the TOR can, Gilles rear sets and razzo levers. Only taken her out once, given the crappy weather. But now I've bought all new leathers and helmet etc, will try to get out a bit more.
I stayed in Basildon the last time I was in the UK.....what's the name of that pub at the bottom of a hill next to a big roundabout....Five Bell's or something like that??....they had good food there!
Welcome along Matt. A great bike to commute on even through the winter if your hands can take the cold!
Thanks for the welcome. Won't be using the bike to commute to often as only insured for 3000 miles a year and intend on going over to Germany at least once over the summer. More likely to use the van for commuting. Matt.
Welcome along buddy- Think you will find us on here a little different from the "other" lot. That is in a GOOD way of course. Lots of friendly help, advice and of course banter............. Enjoy
Welcome in dude! Plenty of info to be found on here, we can be an extremely helpful bunch on here.... That goes on spending your money too
Welcome mate, you look well chuffed in that photo! Enjoy the bike (once the weather warms up that is!)
