Sounds silly but what is this reg thing? What does it do if it's not changed!!? Sorry for a stupid question?! But I have a 09 plate Daytona and I was wondering. Whether mine will need sorting out as its in for a major service tomorrow I want to ask them but I will sound silly if I have no idea what IM going on about lol! Its a box under the right fairing the regulates the alternator to charge and power the electrics. They have a habit of going phut. Just ask them to check it when its in for a service. They should do if theya re any good.
Ok I shall ask them. Thank you ill pop in to talk to them about it after work. I'm hoping I won't get shunted by them tbh it's a triumph dealership but everything I walk in they seem to have loads of bikes out back and no-one in the bloody garage!! Anyone be able to recommend these guys (triumph bulldog wokingham) I can tell it needs a good look over and swap everything that the major service SAYS they should do but whether they do IM unsure! Omdz that seriously ent good lol! When did yours go?! I rang up the dealership today and asked them to check it out on the system and they said mine was either not affected (only certain vins were) or 2. Mine went in May last year. Rang Triumph in Leicester and they came and picked it up. If they are saying that yours has already been changed then you should be fine. For peace of mind though, I would check it with a multimeter just to make sure. Warning sign for my bike was the petrol light came on before the bike shut down completely. Luckily it was nice and sunny when mine went so I managed to top the tan up whilst waiting for recovery! I'm sure there was a link somewhere where you could put your vin number in and it would tell you if there was a recall on the bike. Can't seem to find it though!
I know ordering a screen tommorow and prob short levers soon Just can't decide on which exhaust to go for. Anyone got any pics of a jardine? I like the look of the akra but I think it'll be to quiet!!!
