If mine really does cost £90 then i think i'll start looking for a new dealer.

OK :D The salesman was new (I think mine was the first bike he'd done a handover for). So maybe it was just a guess on the higher side which is better than telling me a figure too low : )

Just go with knowledge from here. Always ask too! They vary massively from one dealer to another. Can always play one price off against another. Money talks, don't be afraid to ask and haggle! It's your dollar!!!

  5. I'm glad you got the Arrow slip on, I have it also and let my mate ride my bike last week and it does sound lovely! I have almost accidentally ended up with most of the parts list! Started with the arrow and the seat Cowl, then I managed to win some new Triumph Pazzo Levers which look nice and now my bezzy mate has traded his daytona in for a striple so has given me his Carbon Heel plates and Carbon Chain guard... it gets you bad this modding lark!

If you don't mind me asking.. did you pay pretty much RRP for the bike then and then got the £675 to spend on kit or did you get a deal on the bike also?

I got him to throw in the alarm/immobiliser in addition. I probably could have got more because obviously the immobiliser dosn't cost them the £270 it would cost me, but when they give you £675 of extras its hard to think of anything extra for them to chuck in that i was particularly bothered about. Maybe the annodised reservoirs. They're nice.

I wasn't in a haggling mood. I wanted to walk in and say "gimme one of those" and then get out. I probably should have tried to get a couple of hundred off the price, but when you spread the loan repayments over years i couldn't be bothered for the sake of a fiver a month :s (feel a bit bad for not trying. it all adds up)

  7. That's fair enough, just wondering really. I know the guy that manages my local dealer and I think I got a really really stunning deal tbh, paid well under RRP and got 10% off the exhaust and a card for 10% off anything for 6 months, so was pretty happy but like you I am not the masive haggling type, if I feel that I have got a bit then I am happy! and they have been really good at doing bits and pieces like removing the tank stickers etc for me, been very happy.
