Shoei gt air here. Not a bad helmet, fits my head shape better than the agv I had before it.

Comes with the drop down sun visor, never had to worry about being out late with a tinted visor.

  4. I have a couple of Arai Helmet's, they just work / fit for me.

  5. Shoei XR something or other, always gone shoei as they fit my head, Arais and agvs seem to put pressure on my forehead.

:pp Arai have a nice new lid.: http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/motorsport/helmets/arai-gp-6rc-helmet

As we all have different shaped heads, some helmet designs "just fit better". Although I'm not a big fan of the bikeshow ( 19-27th Nov @the NEC ), it is an ideal opportunity to try on loads of different helmets to ascertain your preferred design.
Also there tends to be a lot of competition for your custom amongst the assembled dealers, therefore some good deals can be struck.

Something to bear in mind is that the racing tuck on the Daytona has you quite heavily inclined head down. I found that most helmets have a browline that then obscures your view ahead.
Both my current lids are specifically designed to allow that extra view (Shark Vision R & Nexx Carbon ).
My previous helmets were effectively useless for proper riding on my Daytona.

  7. Running AGV GP Tech and Shoei NXR currently. The Shoei feels more snug if I'm honest but mists up like you wouldn'r believe no matter what I try so the AGV is the one that gets used more regulaly.
Thinking of getting a new helmet over the winter. Looking at a AGV K5 but I am leaning towards the Corsa, maybe even two of them. It's been a while since I had a new one.

This year I have been using a Nexx Carbon XR2 and it's great, I agree with StM. Excellent vision, would be ideal on track if I didn't already use a Shoei on track.

I have an AGV Corsa and absolutely love it. Got it padded out with the foam inserts that come with it to get it fitting perfect, if it beds in a bit too much you can always change the foam pads for fresh ones to always keep it fitting well

My previous helmet was an AGV K3 that I still have and use for Ron Haslam Days/Plop Enduro e.t.c

  10. Another Corsa here, lovely snug fit.

Had the NXR previously which was snug but after about half an hour my ears and cheek bones started to hurt. Wrong shape head I guess.

Only gripe with the Corsa is the pin lock doesn't feckin work and also the vents do little in the way of airflow unless you are thoroughly hacking it. Ok for track not so much road

  11. HJC RPHA-10 for me - much better than the Arai's I used to wear.

I have a Bell M4r carbon. Nice and light and great vision. Has a good non-mist visor without the use of a pinlock. Fits me well but have heard they don't fit a lot of people well.

Suomy for me.....light as feck and fit me perfectly. Have no idea what they're like in a crash, and I hope things stay that way.....but they're BSI, Snell approved....whatever....

  15. Is this for road riding? Or track riding? Because there is quite a difference in terms of what u should look for....

I used the HJC RPHA-10 for racing from 2013 - 2015. Excellent value for money (paid about £260 in 2013) and very similar fit to the Arais I'd used previously. At the end of 2015 I had the chance to buy one of the last of the old style Arai RX7-GP. I can safely say I've never stuck my head in anything as comfortable, luxurious and well-fitting. Certainly worth the £350 I paid and probably quite a bit more.
