Yep, 4.2 Cerbera. Triumph and TVR in the Garage, they complement each other well. Havinn read other threads on here I feel that it's important that I also come out..... ....my other car is an Audi. There, I've said it, now cast me aside.
Welcome matey, just noticed this thread. Lovin ur choice of wheels, my current 2 and favourite of all time 4wheeler! What's ur tt mate riding? And when do u sail? Will have to meet up on the IOM for a pint. Enjoy the new wheels
He on a panigale which hes had panied in some retro racing scheme and with an Austin racing exhaust system. We are going out weds at 10;45 from Heysham and back sunday afternoon to Liverpool, staying in Laxey.
@Hadies, Here you go, although it has different wheels now, the original spiders weigh a ton and buckle too easily.
I was planning to kill you  but then I saw the pics of the Daytona and TVR and changed my mind you can't help having an Audi I don't dispute they are good cars as long as you don't drive it like a knob you're totally fine What's the TVR like to drive? Is it as fun as the Daytona is to ride? Welcome in btw buddy
Thanks. Ive ben driving and racing TVRs for years, the Cebera V8 ( 4.2 or 4.5) is very much like a bike engine in that it has alfat plane crank and sounds quite "bikey" it has a very ong throttle ( AKA TVR traction control) and not much happens below 4k RPM, keep pressing though and everything starts to fly by very quickly. They have an undeserved rep for unreliability when mostly its bad maintenance from unwilling owners. Ive had 3 cerbs and about 10 TVRs over the years with not many problems other than flat batteries when Ive forgotten to link them up to the trickle charger, so my fault. Ive only been out on the bike a couple of times and so far so good, but the Cerb is 120db and sounds ike a gattling gun on overrun so its always an event.
Nice dude sounds epic so please can you shed some light on if they run on the old Ford Granada engines or can I go tell the Future Brother in Law that he is a muppet and all wrong? I do like the Sagaris and it's nice to know that the rep is not strictly true after all they wouldn't be so popular if they weren't would they?
They stopped using the old V6s with the wedges and the S cars in about 1992. There was a crossover to the Rover V8 for a long time, culminating in the Griffith 500 and the Chimaera 5.0. The Cerberas and the T cars including the Sagaris have TVR engines the latter being straight sixes. The Cerb was available with a 4.2 and 4.5 V8 and the straight sox option as well although most people view the "right" engine for the Cerbera as being the V8.
Ah cool thanks dude you learn something new everyday always nice to speak to a professional on the subject do like the TVR's has to be said nice cars those and you've bought what would be a Carlsberg Motorbike if they made them so you're quids in buddy
Sagaris have also gone bonkers price wise in the last couple of years, cars from 2 years ago at 35k are now selling for 55k.
Yeah just noticed that myself man totally mental that wonder why the sudden surge in prices. Still it is one gorgeous looking car I must say one of the best I've ever seen although nothing for me I think is going to trump the Ferrari F40 that just has to be my all time favourite car.
