@Nik how many miles did you do on the european tour? I’m thinking next year I may try a trip on my 675 but thankfully I have helibars fitted.
Hi Hogster, not really sure how many miles I rode but not more than 8 hours a day and it was surprisingly OK.Think your helibars would make it more pleasant for sure. Rode home from Girona in Spain back to the UK in one hit at speed to avoid an oncoming storm, stayed ahead of it and dry but don’t think I’d try that again 20 years later. Enjoy your trip.
The furthest I've ever been on the D675 in a day was from home to the Nurburgring...which is 700 miles. Now, while I could have done another ten, I couldn't have done another hundred and it was from necessity not choice. I've toured all over Europe, down to the bottom of Spain and as far east as Ukraine....but that's because it's the bike I had. Helibars a couple of years back have definitely made it more comfortable for the fest. Lower rear sets would probably help too. Ultimately, the multistrada I hired was a much better job for long range touring. But I love the Daytona....and will probably always sneak in the odd trip. Mind... I'm 50 this year so if I'm planning on doing anything I'd best get a move on
Definitely seems that way, there used to be a few for sale, but I’ve been looking 4 years now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bloody hell.... absolutely no one can fault your commitment to helibars! The 1200 rs looks top banana . You know the minute you sell it and advert will appear....
