Very hard to get now as they discontinued making them. Keep an eye in the USA snd mail a few shops there. Well worth it such a madsive improvement comfort wise.

How do you find the helibars in comparison?

I've not attached them yet or ridden the bike. I'm hoping...
Anyone know how much difference these make?

  13. I fitted some earlier this year and although they don't look much higher than the standard bars, the longer the ride, the more amazed you are how much of a difference they make - highly recommend!

  16. If you swap and invert the standard bars you get much the same result. I did a post on this I believe. Anyway, I've never gone back.

The only irreversible mod you need to do is either take of a plastic locating pin from the switch cluster (or drill the bar). I did the former. And a STR clutch cable helps it through the MoT if the standard is a tad tight.

Thanks for the info, I may end up doing this. I’m not far away from putting the bike away for the winter so come spring if the mythical Helibars haven’t appeared I may try this.

In other news I managed 250 miles in a day recently on the standard setup so maybe I’m getting used to it

I won’t lie, by the end I couldn’t wait to get off the bike! I can see why people ride adventure bikes

What a bummer getting pain from riding your bike.I actually went on a tour of Europe on a 675 Daytona and slept in my minuscule tent and was suprised by how little my neck/wrists and back hurt at the end of each
day.Although I was only 40 at the time.
Maybe a street triple is a better option if it’s really uncomfortable, loads of fun and better suited to real world riding on the road
