:675cc: Once you have one you will see them everywhere, Just look at BSB races now, Kwack and Susie up front followed by many many trumpets  If Jimmy had not fallen off, well he did so that was that.

  2. Hi Mate,

Welcome aboard I got my 675 from Laguna in Maidstone they are ok I wouldn't say they were the best in the world as initially they sold me a GSXR 750 that had a real problem with the front end and they only discovered this after I brought it in for a service and valve check 1 month after taking delivery and needless to say they were worried enough to swap it out straight away. Still can't fault their services guys and if you get the bike from them at the moment they are offering the 0% deal. Speak to Jason, Glenn or Ian if you call them mate they are probably the best guys there. Hope that helps mate.

    Cheers,
    Nick

  4. I think all triumph dealers are doing 0% and accessories on 675s at the mo, check the special offers page on triumphs site.

    Differences from the cbr?

It goes from the bottom in nearly all gears, steers quicker and stops like a fat man outside greggs when the caramel donuts are replenished.

It is a bit taller than the cbr and depending on your feet you may find it delightful to be able to change gear without having to dislocate your ankle ( cbr600s at haslam school had footpegs and levers for midgets).

Have you ridden one yet ? Expect to be surprised at how involved riding one feels and it may make your cbr feel like a big sewing machine. Science Boffs will tell you this is due to the pulse and vibrations that only a triple can create.

I will guess that you will enjoy it, unless you are a Nipponphile or your name is Rob Honda.

    Hello fella, welcome along.

I have heard that the sales dept at Maidstone is quite good but the service dept is crap. I have only used Ashford though and they don't exactly blow you away either but, they do have a good workshop manager who sorts stuff out.

    This was todays toy......................

    ai576.photobucket.com_albums_ss203_ROBISTHESTIG_13082011045.jpg

Went out for nearly 3hours and gave it plenty and MY GOD IT DELIVERED, its absolutely amazing, everything from the grunt to the brakes to the handling is 10/10

Felt at home on it very quickly and it was joy to ride, u never have to change gear on them do ya, 30mph 6th gear and it still pulled away lovely

The noise was something else, standard can and it howls like a good'un, even made me take my ear plugs OUT so i could have a listen down the country lanes

Did you find yourself smiling to yourself when you twisted that throttle??!! I did when I first took one out a few months ago on a test ride! That pretty much sold it to me there and then. Glad you enjoyed the ride :D

Don't worry too much if you're not fully run-in, my track bike only had 800+ miles on it first time out  !
You might want to search for the discussions about running-in on here too - it's a hotly debated subject with some surprising points.

P.s what colour did you get, the (fastest) Black one? ;)
