    In the continuing development of my 2011 675R, and my advancing old age, I've been looking at ways of getting the bars higher.

    I've gone through a few iterations, including Street Triple yokes and bars, a few different sets of forks, including some K-Tech KTR2 Superbike forks with Apex adjustable clip ons.

    I wasn't happy with any of them, so now I've fitted a set of Bitubo forks with the Tony Scott billet top and bottom yokes.

    As we know, Helibars are as rare as, but I found a set of the Gilles Variobars going cheaply on Ebay, and got those - they were listed for a CBR1000RR, but I figured they'd maybe work as they're 50mm OD, the same as the D675.

    It looks like it will work, although I haven't put the fairing back on yet to see if there are any clearance issues. Nor have I ridden it, as there's other work in progress.

    I reckon it's gained about 3 inches in height compared to the stock D675 clip ons. Very much like the riding position on the 765RS Moto 2 Edition, I would imagine?

    It will be interesting to see how you get on Colin.
    We often get members asking about Helibars don't we, so please keep us posted on how successful this resolution is .

    Definitely going to be fairing clearance issues, which I suspected.

    The first Daytona I ever had was fitted with Suzuki GSXR K4 forks with R1 yokes and motocross bars. The person who built that just chopped the fairing off behind the mirror mounts, which solved the problem. This;

    I guess the Helibars don’t sit as high as I’ve set up the Gilles ones here. As far as I’m aware you don’t need to modify the fairing with Helibars?
