    Hi Guys,

What is the difference between the Genuine Triumph Engine Casing Covers and the GB Racing Covers for the 2013/14 Daytona 675R?

I prefer the look of the Triumph ones but am worried they are not as Crash proof as the GB Racing ones.

    Thanks for your help

I'd bet there exactly the same, made by GB for trumpet, but I've not seen then yet, I've got the trumpet ones on order.

  3. You won't see OEM cases on any BSB bikes.

According to their website GB manufacture their own.

GB cases also don an FIM approval label.

I'd swear that gb racing and r&g are exactly the same on the older bikes just with a different badge.

Triumph Website says that their Genuine ones meet race Regulation Requirements whatever that means

  6. Might well be the case on the previous models (hehe) Bigmac but I've seen R&G and GB cases on the 13/14 bikes and they're different plastics with GB's having a matt finish and R&G's shiny.

  7. Ok good stuff so it's now down to which cases float your boat.

I think wood craft isn't a cover, it's a replacement case I think with extra protection. Plus they look the mutts nuts lol

Have the triumph ones on mine; having seen my bike slide away down the road on her left side courtesy of a van driver; can say in that situation they worked perfectly and saved me being in a far worse situation.

  14. I really would like a set of either the gb ones or triumph ones but there was a thread on here about when someone removed them and it had really scored the metal covers therefore defeating the point of them. Can't remember who it was or the final outcome tho

    Thanks for the replies guys!

Might go for the Triumph ones as they have openings where you can rinse or see anything behind them. i will regularly take them off and clean beneath.

Btw did anyone hear back from GB Racing regarding the damaged casings?

see post 12 of this thread. :)

  17. I'd go for the GB RACING covers the triumph ones.
Their tried & tested all over the world.
Get yourself a full set for £325 & everything will match, ie you'll get shark fin, full engine cases, frame sliders & front + rear bobbins. It sounds a lot of money but 1 park of your pride on an uneven pub car park & they'd paid for themselves. You'll also get £250+ bk for them 2nd hand if you sell up.
If your gonna remove them to check and clean then the grit issue won't matter anyway.

THE GB ONES LOOK SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE TRIUMPH ONES,
& if you ever walk around a race paddock try counting how many triumph protection you see & compared to GB!
