Here's a short video showing the broken rear subframe/engine mount bolt which I am sure was caused from the adjuster threaded insert being seized and allowing movement which was hammering the bolt, eventually shearing off on track.

Luckily no damage other than the bolt and a good few hrs of my time spent drilling and re-tapping/ cleaning up the thread in the frame.

Worth a check as I have seen a few posts over the internet where this has happened to others, my bike is a gen 3 2014 Daytona but sure the adjusters are fitted to all 675's, street triples and 765's.

  2. Nice one Dan, those adjusters are a right pain in the arse, al mine have been taken out and had lots of copper slip to try and make it easier to get them out

Ye too right, I think I might do the same over winter on the rest of my adjusters, fingers crossed they are looser than that rear one Cheers

Glad you got away without any serious damage and still had some fun on the track.
Well worth greasing up every now and then.
    Nice film Dan.

Cheers Nik, don't come on here enough really and missed your reply, I've kept my makeshift bar and nuts encase the bolt ever breaks on me again.. At least then I can get right back out, do love this bike on track :D
