Just a rant!! I bought something on ebay and the postage was quoted as 1st class, I popped the guy an email and asked if the goods could be posted (tomorrow) on Friday, so i'd have them for Saturday...I also asked could i pay the extra few £'s to get them sent recorded... Well the cheeky G1t said yep i can do that tomorrow, send me an extra £6-7 to cover it!!... The postage was £5 for the item... To add Recorded is not weight or size specific is it....I thought it was about 74p extra? (not special delivery) Is it me, am i wrong, the Royal Mail website is as clear as mud to understand. Oh well, probably never turn up, if it was me i always use Recorded, then you know the goods have arrived and the buyer cant do the old..where are my goods thing? Man
Wow, that is shocking, I'm sure your right that its an extra 74p no matter the size or weight. I learnt the hard way about sending things recorded delivery. I sold a set of leathers and the buyer raised a dispute with ebay the day after they were posted saying they never arrived and got his money back, I lost out on over £100.
Exactly, it's not worth saving 74p for the headache!! I always over charge the post, it's normally more than you think. I always guess it, or base it on others.. Grrrrrrrrr hehe.
How`s this i thought it was way over priced . Pair of wheels for an R6 with discs and tyres £40 , if it was`nt for the fact the wheels were cheap £155 , i would have been as mad as feck at his postal rate . Strikes me as being ripped off..
