Been a while since the last post so in brief this is how things are going.
In the second race of the season I qualified in P9 but was a bit slow off the line, got back up to P10 and with one lap to go started sliding about a bit much,DNF due to oil leaki spraying the rear tyre, glad I noticed.
Third and fourth races were at Oschersleben in Germany where the weather was great and loads of different catogories racing which was fun to watch.Qualified P6 and faster than last year.Race one was postponed from Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning due to some serious accidents and trauma helicopters,so Sunday morning at 08:30 was race one in 6 degrees.
Wasn’t very sure of grip levels in such temperatures so figured i’d see what the rest did.Was actually ok and came in P5.Race 2 in afternoon was 18 degrees so felt more comfortable with grip levels(it’s all in the head) finished in P4 and had a great time.
Race 5 back at Assen in great weather again so full of confidence.
15 minutes before Q1 I noticed the rear tyre warmer wasn’t plugged in propperly so went out on track with the idea of taking it easy on the first lap and get Some heat in the tyre.
I highsided in the third corner at felt very very stupid.Minor damage to the bike and with help from those around me stuck everything together.Lied to the medics and Saïd I was fine so ready to rock Q2.Qualified in P7 and finished sixth.Still feeling sore 2 weeks later but got away with it again.Lesson learnt.Had a great time, mostly.

  2. Thanks for the update, glad you got away relatively lightly with the oil leak and a highside:eek:, hope all the other rider were ok after the accidents especially after the tragic events at Oulton Park recently.

Frustratingly close to a podium, but enjoying it and getting home safe is the main thing, make sure you post your podium picture here, its coming....

Very tragic indeed at Oulton Wobbley.Hope I didn’t sound a bit calous saying I had a great time when others were very much not. There were no fatallities fortunately at Oschersleben.
Will defo send Some podiums pics after the 14th of June.Probably,haha.
