Interested in peoples opinions on master cylinders.

I bought a Accossato PRS2 master cylinder for my track bike build and was going to use it with the standard black monoblocks.

Tonight however I bought a set of ohlins forks complete with monoblocks and master cylinder.

So wondering if there is any advantage going with the accossato or would I be just as happy with the standard D675r Brembo master cylinder.

    Cheers

  2. I would go with the non std master cylinder I have an R and fitted a proper brembo master cylinder 19rcs and I must say it was a huge improvement so I would differently use the aftermarket one

  3. Did you win the ohlins forks from feltham?

I only have experience with the brembo master cylinders but the rcs ands 19x20 after market ones are definitely much better than the oe 675r ones. The oe ones are made on a much tighter budget than the aftermarket ones, you only have to look at the machining on them to see that.

I would use the accosssto cylinder with the brembo calipers.

If you did use the oe brembo one, then I have a pazzo lever for sale if you want it

    Cheers guys

Yeah I won the ones from Feltham, did you bid as well :)

  6. How much do you want for the 675r m/s bazzer?

Not sure yet not even thought about it to be honest. Only won them a bout an hour ago :)

How much are they worth :)

  8. I didn't bid in the end but was sorely tempted! I already have the 30mm Ohlins cartridge kit in the standard forks, I'd only be fitting them for the bling value and the Brembo calipers. Couldn't justify the cost in the end.

I sold a OE Brembo MC for £90 a few weeks ago, they are £160+ new.

  9. Does this mean that the others are now obsolete before even being fitted?

Nah they would not be obsolete, I have two track daytona's don't forget :)

  11. Hi Bazzer,

I've just fitted an Accossato PRS2 m/c and will be taking it on track for the 1st time (Cadwell) on the 14th.

Have you tried yours yet and if so how did it perform?

I've always used Brembo 19x20's in the past but like the idea of trying the 19x17 for added feel on trail braking.

    Cheers,

No mine is still in the bag.

Still building up the new bike, I should start a build thread really.

LOL yeah its an interesting combo black and blue :)

Notice the 2013 shock on it. Going to take the spring off at the weekend and cycle through range of motion to check it does not hit anything. Nitron is going on this bike but the 2013 shock will go on the old bike.

  15. I've got the 46mm a nitron on my bike...works well!

Thats what's on the old track bike and I had one on my old street triple. So just going to move it across and put the 2013 on the old bike.
