Pls someone help before I get rid of my daytona

I had an intermitent fault with my speedo for the last couple months where the speedo shows zero and the odo doesnt work. on and off, or various speeds not matching the actual speed of bike.

Now it is always zero and the engine light has come on.
    I did a obd scan - Po500 - speed sensor fault.
I bought a new genuine triumph sensor as suggested from previous online posts and it hasnt solved the problem.
I had a mechanic look over the wiring and he said connections are ok ( he broke my fuel pump connector in the process ARHHH)
I spoke to another mechanic and he said maybe try a new instrument cluster.

Any ideas how I can solve this issue PLEASE.

If you are patient & fairly handy with tools, there were a few issues some owners had with corrosion on the connector plug on their instrument clusters.
As I recall, some owners removed their instruments, undid the screws that hold the two halves of the casing together and removed the PCB from inside. Then it was a question of locating the corroded contacts, cleaning them back to clean metal and putting it all back together.
    Hth.

That doesn't sound like any kind if fun.
    But I'll consider doing that.
    Gonna do this today

  5. Agreed, a few very dodgy looking solder joints here.

I had problems with mine years ago.
I sent it to a company in England that specialises in this type of repair.
I can't remember their name, but I'm sure a Google search would probably give you something to work on.

Sent from my SM-S926B using 675.cc mobile app
