    Sounds good:smileup:

What's the price with race discount registered?

  2. Not sure. But the race discount is 35‰ off Triumph parts.

Probably somewhere around 400 quid all in.

Sorry to revive such an old thread but I'm looking to do this mod (install an oem 2016 slipper clutch into a 2007 daytona). The information in this thread has been VERY helpful but the link to the posted pictures no longer works. It's a long shot but I'm reviving this to ask if anyone who has done this mod has pictures/video of the process? I saw there was another thread from 2017 but there are no pictures there either.

    Thank you!

I’m pretty sure I did a video on YouTube once for it
It’s a bit backwards as I was just pulling it apart but it shows the assembly process
A quick search should bring it up I’d guess
It the only video I ever made

No unfortunately I forgot to do this when @Gsxr-sniper87 helped me fit mine post lockdown.

One word of warning the clutch holding tool is different for the two clutches and you'll need a 30mm socket

I might've seen it, what's your youtube channel name?

    Thanks for the heads up.

I'm about to order the clutch cover gasket. Are there any other parts that should be installed new? Like, the clutch bearing or washers? Or I can reuse the 2007 ones?

Nope we even reused the locking washer (though it is recommended to replace)

So this is basically what I've summarised. The red circles are parts from the 2016 (I have an entire 2016 clutch assembly, used) and the green circles are parts I'll use from the 07. Please correct me if I'm wrong on anything.

So I just took it to a shop and gave the mechanic my MS Paint schematic above. He was able to do it in a few hours, no issues at all. The bike feels so much better and smoother now, it's like night and day.

Hi, does this change in the clutch make it softer? I have an 08 and when the engine heats up sometimes the clutch is hard and hard to find the neutral. Tks

Makes it much lighter. When you struggle to find neutral do you also have a issue shifting second to third? If so may the the detent star.

no no, when the engine is hot, the clutch clearance increases and when i stop, it is sometimes difficult to put it in neutral, but walking, when i move from the second to the third, it is very quiet. I am thinking of making this change. Thank you for your help.

Yes, they are different, you will need a different clutch holding tool for each inner basket.

I understand, but the friction plates are the same, correct?

Ah I see what you are asking, yes the friction plates are the same but the steels are different. However this may cause issues with the stack height I'm not 100%
