Hello, I am looking to get a set of crash bungs, currently looking at GB Racing frame sliders, but I just would like to ask how much they stick out of the fairing? Do they really protect fairing at low speed drop? I understand high speed is totally different story.... would like to ask if someone can share a picture of them from top view to see how much they stick out......and your experience if I may ask please..... ;)

Another things are front and rear spindle protectors.....is there any brand you guys can recommend? So far I have been told evotech is better than GB racing on front spindle protector..... and I understand GB racing only do rear swingarm bobbin rather than spindle sliders....

One last thing is my daytona is 2008, i am confuse with swingarm bobbin size, which one does my bike use? M8 or M6?

    Thank you very much.

  2. Can't answer question on frame sliders (don't have any yet) but my 2007 has M6 thread for my bobbins.

  3. I think the swingarm bobbins are VIN dependent. I'm sure someone will confirm this.

GB Protction saved my bike really well earlier in the year, everyone should have them!!

As for thread size, grab a ruler or tape measure and have a look ;)

GB engine protection for me too yoyo. My axle protection is GB too front and rear.
My paddock bobbins are 6mm hole (earlier size)
I have Puig frame sliders, very substantial but I now realise that visually I prefer the GB ones.

Incidentally, I believe that the T3 protection is the same as GB, just different logo.

  6. I use the t3 ones which are similar, I found out the hard way haha, came off in the wet at around 65 mph on a long lefthander , the sliders did their job on the fairing with only minor scratches but as I went off my bike was spinning half on the track and half on the kerb/grass smashing the gen cover but more importantly damaging the side of the tank and almost putting a hole in it. So now I've fitted carbon covers to all the casings(acompany called carbonade on ebay) and bought the t3 carbon tank covers. I was disappointed with how thin these were so noticed that there would be a slight gap between the side of the tank and the tip of the cover, some filled each side with liquid metal to add to strength. Hope this helps

Pulse cover is the most important thing here btw, if the motor hits the floor in the wrong way it can punch the bolts for the pulse cover through the engine case and the engine casings are scrap.
