Hi all my 2014 Daytona has a noisy clutch when running when you pull lever in noise goes away I was told this normal but hearing another tona the other day and the same year the clutch on there was quiet any ideas why mine is worse, thanks.
Mine makes a slight noise when cold that goes when you pull in the clutch but I assumed it was the gearbox internals and not the clutch. Though when I ran it after recently doing the valve clearances and plugs it seemed quieter, maybe because it's idling smoother. Yours may be louder than others but not all bikes will sound the same because of production tolerances, different run in methods etc. Take it to a dealer if you're worried but I'm sure it's fine. When I test rode the Aprilla RSV4 RF it had a similar noise but much louder so I'm not worried about it.
I had the same issue, cleaned my chain with diesel and waxed it afterwards. Noise grumble on my handles is cleared and smooth as ever. It's a stuff chain running on the chain runner close to front sprocket at the top. That cleared it for me but post your result if you try that, I'd like to know if it's common our bikes cause I've never had that issue before .Best of luck!
I noticed this on my 09 Daytona, it freaked me out for a while but I have been told my a few fellow Daytona owners it is normal. I adjusted valve clearances towards the end of last year and it is definitely less noticeable after that, but at the same time I checked chain tension and the torque of all the bolts I could reach to the manual torque. My opinion is it’s normal but can get exaggerated as soon as something has some play to vibrate making it much more noticeable.
