How many miles have you done? Interested to see Zupe's reply on the real refresh cost. Trouble is when doing a refresh, how do you know what bits to replace? Or do you do the valves, springs/pistons,rods and shells everytime?? Got a mate who had his engine refreshed. Slightly higher tune than mine. With no meils on it, it blew up just warming up in the pit lane.. rod through the block type of blow up :-(
Main& conrod bearings, gudgeon pin, piston rings, pistons every2nd or if wear can be seen, cam chain. Head is refrehened by cleaning cam bearing surfaces and renewing valves and seats upon visual need. New small parts to hold up the valve( cant remember what they are called, quess U do at the moment) Big benefit using race gasoline is much more clean engine than with pumpgas. Cost 1-1,5k depends a lot.
Well u should do the lot but as a rebuild with parts would be some where around £2k ill leave it till end of next year if it pops I'll get another stock engine.
Ya, no kwacky one. This engine was a spare one to mr. John Ingram at TT2013. It was not needed there, and he sold it to me as unused after refresment . I did ask mr. Steve Randle from TAG racing about the engine when purchacing it, and was told that it is one of their teams 2012 bss-engines. Mileage before refresment is not in my knowledge, but overall it looks very tidy. I did use it less than 1200km in 3 trackday occasions and one race weekend during 2014. Engine ran very good all that time. It gives135 on wheel in tune-ecu trim.
I even imported putoline from Uk, cos tag had used it . Just took a look upstairs at workshop, engine has an oem generator on. Pete: no netherland , I'm a Finn. When bought i had a courier to pick up it, took 300 eur. Guess as freight bit cheaper, but has to make a proper box.
Hiya Sorry if you think I'm ignoring you anyone - this is a rubbish way of selling things as its really difficult to keep up with the PM's or tack who offered what first - I've been really hectic at work - I'm considering zupe's engine offer - people jump in with offers then can't find the cash or change their minds - people say they'll pay "tonight" then nothing appears

Just to reiterate I will 100% take the suspension, rear and front and can pay at the end of this month as i've totally over spent on Christmas presents!
