    Evening all.

Been a long time I know so I'll fill you in on where I've been -

Was busy up until December working on a big contract although whilst it was meant to make some decent money this government, my accountants and hmrc have left me flat broke so I've had to close down my business and I'm currently looking around to become a cog in a machine again. Wasn't what I wanted but hey ho such is life.

Middle of July I started to become very ill very quickly and was essentially shitting through the eye of a needle everyday for about 2 months. Initially the doctors were stumped and couldn't tell me what it was. I had tests for everything and then the word cancer was mentioned which did get very scary at that point. Suddenly you realise all of the things you take for granted. Have to say at that point I was thinking this can't be it I'm only 30 and have got loads more to do and I still haven't got my bloody left knee down on track yet lol. Anyway I was scheduled for a colonoscapy which let me tell you is one of the most unpleasant things you could ever experience even though you're sedated it hurts like a mofo. They couldn't see any issues in that and after flushing out my insides suddenly I became normal again for the first time in almost 3 months I had a solid dump which was heavenly. After that the symptoms vanished and I was back to normal. It cost me 13kg in body weight though and I began the long road to recovery at the gym. I was consuming 13k worth of calories per day and soon packed on the mass again back up to 13.5 stone so far. Along way though from the nearly 15 stone I was when I was struck down. Anyway it transpired that many people at work had become ill from eating at the same place I did so I dropped the line to environmental health who went to inspect and found ecoli was rife. They shut the place down for cleaning and decontamination and then it now has regular inspections every 2 weeks for the next 3 years. So who would have thought that a sausage roll that was heated allowed to cool and then heated again by this cafe could've caused me so much grief...

In the time that I was away I also decided to down size and I have sold all of my bikes including both daytonas and my r1 and the baby blade. Everybody was happy with their purchases not one single complaint just thought I would point that out. So I settled on just one bike to do everything with track, commute and have fun. I now have a very tidy 09 HRC Honda Fireblade with 26k on the clock and she still pulls like she's brand new. I've got lots of goodies on her my favourite is the hm quickshifter it's just epic it really is. She had 23k on the clock when I bought her in November but I've hardly stopped riding her since.

The new year has got off to a bleak start too I lost my uncle to altzeimers last week such a shame he was only in his 60's but goes to show you that that nothing can ever be taken for granted.

It's good to be back and I'm thankful and extremely grateful for all my amazing friends that I have made on here. I look forward to seeing many of you over the coming year. Here's a pic of the blade so you can see her in her glory.

    Hello Nick :)

  3. Welcome back mate. Beautiful bike!

Glad your healthy! I know the pain of which you speak I had to get checked for Crohns (dad has it) after not too dissimilar symptoms to what you describe. Having a dr and medical instruments rummaging in your trunk really puts life in perspective doesn't it!

  4. Welcome back mate. Nice bike let us no when ur next track day is

Good to have you back Nick, that'll be 2 of us hunting for gainful employment then! ;)

I can guess how you felt last year as I got carted into A&E in November with all the symptoms of a massive heart attack, I was truly afraid to go to sleep in case there was a bloke with wings/pointy tail when I woke up, scary sh*t that.

Good luck with the job search and hope to see you about this year!

Hope everybody is well and thank god you didn't have that heart attack Dave bloody good to see you mate.

Steffy thanks for your help support and advice during my time out was greatly appreciated buddy.
