Hi brains trust, I've got a 2009 Daytona 675 track bike and I'd like to know people opinions on which Quickshifter and Auto blipper that fits my model. I was looking at a Healtech for the shifter but who makes a Auto blipper. Also I'd like to get rid of the stock pipes and loose that cat. I have a Delkevic carbon slip on so just interested in the rest.
    Thanks, Shaun

  2. Hi mate, don’t quote me on it but I think U’ll struggle with an auto blipper. A quick shifter works on piggy backing the coils which cuts ignition when it senses and upshift using a pressure sensor essentially and that’s easy for a third party company to manufacture. However your bike should (if it’s the face lift) have a plug ready for triumph’s plug and play option, saving a lot of faff. I don’t think anyone has had any issues with triumph’s own, but they aren’t adjustable like some third parties. The problem with down shifting is it’s not a simple kill ignition but rather the bike knowing how to match revs or bring the bikes revs up to gearbox speed. Your bike (being 09) doesn’t have that capability built in and as it’s not flyby wire there is no way to simply programme that in. Although I do think there was a company that done this, but it set about routing the throttle cables to a control module which went to some sort of actuator on the throttle bodies. But all that means major modification and we all know what that means ££££££££££££.
If you new all that and have money to burn, I do apologise as I dunno which company is best but if you just want a quick shifter now then I’d say Triumph’s own is simple and good but if you want more adjustability then I think Healtech is a good brand or translogic (who support MotoGP, I think).

Hope that helps or someone who is a mechanic or just knows more than me can come along and quash my ramblings or help further.
