    Howdo!

Is anyone using the 428 Chain conversion from T3??? If so would you have any gearing combos for UK/Euro tracks.

    Thanks Pablo

  2. What's the benefit over 520, just weight? Strength wise a 428 chain has about 60% of the tensile strength of a 520 chain, that's quite a drop. 520 gives a decent weight save and is well proven.

I think it just helps to avoid big wheelbase changes when changing sprockets, I looked into the kits before going for the 520.

There's more links in the chain so I believe and with the sprocket combinations you can get a better setup for any given track. This also doesn't affect the wheelbase as much as the 520. So I'm told.

  5. Makes sense, I run 15F and 46,47,48,49Rs on a 520 114link chain without issue.

I use 428 set up on my race bike, great for fine adjustments.

Many thanks for that. Would you have any track combinations?

    I run a 428 as well.

  9. Can't be arsed with it. Two bikes with 520 chains and a ton of sprockets. it would cost a small fortune to change it all  :D

Would you have any gearing ratio's for Anglesey?

Fair shout. I'm changing to give it a go, still new to trackdays/racing so anything to give me an advantage....make up for my poor riding and to shift my heavy carcass ;)

  11. Fair play but don't take this the wrong way. If you're just starting out, you'll not gain anything really. Mods like these only really start to benefit you when you're up near lap record pace IMO. There will be many other areas you can improve before a minor change to your wheelbase will benefit you. All just my opinion. Feel free to carry on [IMG]

Give Tony Scott a call, he'll be able to give you a good idea of what combinations to go for.

Hi, did you go with the recommended chain links from the chart? Thanks
