    Just saying hello.
Bought a Daytona 675 last week and pleased with it so far.
Will put more pictures up when I get a chance to take some.

Not owned one for 16 years (last one was a Kawasaki ZX6-R) although I have ridden a few in the intervening years (such as GSX 1000, BMW S1000's etc on test sessions)
    Pic of the last one:

Went on the bike to work on Friday as I bought a new mesh jacket - make its nice to ride on a hot summers day:cool:
Deleted this line to protect the innocent!!!
(Still one of the best looking bikes around in my opinion :D)

  9. Def the best looking bike in the carpark :D. What's your commute route like? Mine involves an hour of the A34, so that doesn't really tempt me to use the bike.

(probably best not to post up on an open forum about the insurance thing though...;)).

  10. Don’t know anyone who ticks that box. A simple I was actually out on a jolly and left my wallet at the office and had to pick it up.

Route is good. only around 20 minutes (or less) and not much traffic so get to throw her around a bit.
True about the insurance so will remove - was just picking up my laptop, honest!!

  14. That's just enough time for it to be enjoyable and not a pain. I want a commute like yours!

Oh dear - used it for work today with the weather being warm (though very windy)
Seems to have lost my seat cowl :(

The bag peeking up holds some CO2 canisters and a little tyre pump so they managed to stay with the bike.

Had the cowl off while I was trickle charging the battery so this morning disconnected and clicked on the cowl and all seemed good. Was still on when I went to work :(

So - anyone have one for sale? If not then I will need to get one from Amazon or some such!

  16. Oh arse!!! You're not the first that person that this has happened to (but that's effall consolation right now).

Jane's belated useful tip of the day: Once you've done enough overtime to get a new cowl, take the off the rubber mounts underneath; they are too thick and prevent the seat locking into position properly.

Cheers - when I get one I will look into your suggestion

  18. After your little oops moment with your cowl, I thought I'd better check the one on my new R. And guess what? That wasn't properly locked on either. Bloody shoddy Triumph parts . It's now been derubbered and is nice and snugly secure again.

    Here we go again!!!
Had to move the bike out of the way in the garage so we could get the Christmas decorations and tree from the corner of the garage - so unshackled the bike from the chain on the ground loop thingy and the disk lock and pulled the bike forward.
As I knew she would be a few hours while doing up the house I put the disk lock back on.
A good few hours later put the stuff back not needed into the corner and pushed the bike back - FFS, forgot to take the disk lock off so it smashed into the mudguard............

So, have ordered a replacement from a company who make ABS versions - should be delivered in the next week or so so hoping its a good 'un.

Also, one of the bolts snapped.............

Looks like there is enough of the bolt hanging out the back that I should be able to get it out.

Anyone have a spare bolt or know the best place to get one?

    All good fun!!

  20. At least you're not going to be short of Christmas pressie suggestions to give to your nearest and dearest. Who wouldn't love new fairing under the tree on Christmas morning?
