Not been on that other forum but he’s a pure shithouse this one. No question. Registers in his birds name. Telling big mac he’s responded to me when he hasn’t. Telling me I wouldn’t be out of pocket when I was. Basically calling me a liar and telling others to do one in the process. Absolute fucking vermin mate and i'll happily say that to your face. That’s all I have to say on the matter now. Cheers all.
Red, pm me your PayPal mate and I'll refund you the £30 I fucking hate scammers and I'll find out all his info from a few friends I know This forum is amazing the amount of help I have gotten is great, can't allow this to happen
ha, no worries. I'm just left speechless about this whole thread, especially after I heard his replies on trackdayriders. You could understand if he had sent it and it was damaged unknown to him, provided a quick and prompt return payment. I'd be mortified if I sent out goods that were damaged, but I did once have a car grill that was damaged in transport, so it does happen. And for the sake of £30, it makes you think what condition the rest of the items are in, as he has no chance of selling it on now. Cutting your nose of and all that. Although I've never sold on this site, I've bought a lot and its always been trouble free. its significantly cheaper than ebay as well, on there you have fees, final selling fee and paypal fee. which can be a fair bit when it is a few hundred quids worth you are selling. whilst I can see the attraction of some signing up just to sell it takes the piss when your an arse about. I'm not a big contributor to here, I read more than I post, but that doesn't make me any less grateful for the site, hence my effort to get some discount to users. The site is bloody great and handy. I was looking at an item and the second I seen the snappy replies I thought, fuck that.
I was more concerned that that he had signed up using a female username, first post was in the for sale section and after people were showing interest, his sharp responses where un-called for. Glad he's off of this forum but feel sorry for other forum members who come across his for sale threads and end up receiving damaged goods or not receiving anything at all
Me to, worth seeing if we can lock the for sale section for a period of time after joining perhaps? I wouldn't have bought from him given his lack of reputation on the site, but that's not a dig at Red675 for doing so, just that I'm really over cautious. That said I have bought and sold on here and been very lucky as its a great community, I hope it continues to be used in the spirit it's intended.
It's being looked at to try and help make purchasing safer and to try and stop first timers using the forum to sell items rather than being part of the community
I'm going to have to take the wheel to see if it's straight on Monday. I'll be stripping the brakes too to make sure they are ok. Keep fingers crossed for me please!
I'm glad that people have commented on here. Feel free to continue. We are looking at a coding upgrade to stop it automatically but I will be watching every new FS and if we have a first poster seller then I will remove it and PM the poster to explain why.
What goes around comes around. Hopefully he'll get his come-uppence one day. No doubt if he was on the receiving end of a scam like this he would be squealing to everyone about it. His whole attitude beggars belief, especially considering how polite Red was when trying to resolve the problem.
Someone from admin on trackday riders has asked him from an explanation, maybe he'll get chucked off there too...
